Since 1954 the 'Curry Merry Muster' has provided Cloncurry and the surrounding region with all the thrills and spills of rodeo, brimming with community spirit. Today the event has grown to a festival boasting a pro-rodeo renowned as Australia's highest single payout professional rodeo.
The Festival will incorporate the popular Street Parade; annually attracting in excess of 40 themed community floats. A launch to the weekend festivities to follow the Street Parade incorporate community stalls, food, bar and live entertainment.
Friday will showcase the famous Bush Poets Breakfast; attracting local and visiting poets and incorporating a camp oven breakfast, the Teddy Bears Picnic and an all new junior rodeo.
Friday evening and Saturday will boast the 'Curry Merry Muster' pro-rodeo which see thousands of spectators flock to see the champions compete for top prize money and the chance to win a one of a kind hand crafted buckle....
