The Hotel Rottnest Port to Pub swim commences at Leighton Beach in Perth and concludes in front of the Hotel Rottnest on Rottnest Island. The event is open to solo swimmers and teams of 2, 4 and 6 swimmers.
The event also includes a 25 kilometre ultra-marathon solo swim, which is the longest open water swim on offer in Australia, and one of the longest in the southern hemisphere. Port to Pub’s vision is to see that event become a key fixture on the national and international open water swimming calendar.
Presentations and a post event party are held at the Hotel Rottnest. The Port to Pub honours first swims across the Rottnest Channel in 1956, including the first official race to Rottnest, which followed a similar course from North Fremantle to Rottnest Island.
