South Perth Cycle Club's bike weekend in Beverley is the “Beverley Heroic." Go on, be heroic and step back in time!
See where the wheatbelt and great bicycle races began. Enjoy quiet roads, riverside riding, checkpoints in historic towns - in beautiful Western Australia. Slow down and step back in time. Historical towns, historical bikes and some beautiful countryside. Celebrate the history. The Club looks forward to the new heroes making the event another historic ride.
Spectators are free to watch the fast bicycle racing, slow old bikes on display or watch the Cyclocross ride through town. A classic cycling road race - "The Beverley" will be a 114 kilometre handicap race.
On Saturday afternoon, right next to the campsite is Cyclocross (CX) where mountain biking meets road racing. Free kids event from 3pm and novice racers of all ages, then the CX party rides hard.
There is also a free Saturday Retro Bike Show and Saturday's Beverley Heroic Town Ride - a night ride adventure.
