Serving up vegan fare and coffee to Petersham locals, Maker on Parramatta Road celebrates collaborative cooking. Showcasing food from a shared commercial kitchen, this rustic coffee bar with crates and pallets for seating, whitewashed walls and splashes of greenery, is the brainchild of Maker’s two founders Kate Jones and Annabelle McMillan. Now home to both their businesses, Maker also offers a range of vegan products from around Sydney, such as baked goods and cosmetics. Open for weekend breakfast and lunch, diners can choose from the likes of eggs benny with wilted spinach, housemade hollandaise, tofurky smoked ham and egg on a ciabatta roll, or avo on Sonoma Miche with roasted cherry tomatoes, dukkah and lemon. A range of ever-evolving toastie specials will appeal to those on the go.
