This was one of our favourite experiences in the Red Centre. Peter and Debbie were warm, genuine and authentic people. I'm so glad we chose this cultural experience over the others available in the Uluru and Alice areas. We travelled with our two early teen children and the whole family found it fascinating. It was indeed a privilege to gain a better understanding of Aboriginal culture. Both of our kids said that they learned far more from this tour than from anything they'd ever touched on in school. Highly recommend this experience. If at all possible stay a night or two in Kings Canyon as the area has a lot to offer. If you are pushed for time don't miss Karrke and the Rim Walk. Easily the two stand out experiences in the area.
This area is so rich in aboriginal culture. If you want to understand a little about the traditional custodians of this land and their harmony with it for the past 20000 years then this tour is a good start. Peter and Natasha thank you for a wonderful experience. We started with a smoking ceremony and a request to the creators to look after us. We felt welcomed. Palya. Their knowledge of traditional practices was shared. We asked questions, touched displays, handled hunting tools. There were shady places to sit and toilets on site. Can highly recommend the tour.
This is an EXCEPTIONAL experience. Peter and Natasha welcome you with such generosity, humour and warmth. It is a privilege to be on their country with them. They have designed this hour experience thoughtfully, with just the right balance of information and tactile opportunities. I learnt so much about the First Nations people of Central Australia. It is very inter-generational - we had toddlers and elderly people on our experience - and everyone was captivated. It doesn't feel like an educational experience - though it is very educational. It feels like Peter and Natasha have invited you to their 'home' and you are a lucky recipient of their hospitality to have this window of understanding into their ancient culture. This is a perfect thing to do if you are coming from Uluru, book in for an afternoon tour and then go onto Kings Canyon accommodation, ready to do the rim walk in the morning.
Peter and Natasha were terrific hosts and this informative cultural experience offered insight into how they and their ancestors have survived and thrived in this area for thousands of years. This is a special place! Thank you for sharing your time and knowledge with us.
Excellent tour that you must do if you stay at Kings Creek Station. Well organised beautiful tour done by the family . They explain so much and are very generous to share their culture with us. You don’t have to sit on the ground like they do as there are Bench seats.
Peter was very informative and friendly. We felt we knew a bit about indigenous culture through previous experience but we learned much more and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Peter and his family are a credit to their mob & I highly recommend this tour
This was exceptional. Food, medicine, spiritual and respect of country was respectfully shared by our knowledgeable hosts. This is an educational session that has you engrossed the moment you arrive. Very organised. Many thanks to our gracious and welcoming hosts. Highly recommended.
